So its Monday the 10th of August and finally the hot summertime weather is here.
The Yankees just finished sweeping the Red Sox 4 games this weekend and are now 6.5 games up.
The frenzy for 671 Yonkers has gone unabated. Unfortunatly, nobody seems to have a good idea for the space. Lots of people want to re-open the pharmacy, a few people have asked to split it up so they could take the luncheon counter and turn it into a deli.
The White Plains office building is getting some inqury from a dentist consortium.
NAI Global has a "site analytics" report coming to us about what to do on S. Broadway in Yonkers. Should be interesting when it arrives.
Got any questions ?

Bronxville Quickie !!
What we have here is a fantastic piece of property located at 502 New Rochelle Rd. in Bronxville. It is the road that connects the Cross County to the Hutch.
What makes this a fantastic location is the daily car count and roof tops in the area. The HHi for the area is high as well. Lots of homes in the area.
What is available is: 1400 sf for a food use. another 1400 sf for retail with another 900 sf available for retail as well. The anchor tenant is J & G Italian Deli - they are amazing. If you get the chance to be in the area, drop in for a wedge and soda.
Parking is on-site and it would make a great home for some fantastic quickie - in and out retailers.

Friday Questions
So its Friday July 31 2009. The summer is rapidly coming to an end. There have been minor upticks in the economy as of late and the market is on fire.
The price of oil has remained above $60 a barrel.
Lets talk about commercial rents in the lower Westchester area.
It looks like landlords are interested in making a deal just to fill their spaces.
There seems to be a lot of space available these days.
From Central Park Ave. to Broadway to S. 4th Ave. in Mt Vernon. Prices have come down about 10-15%
Retailers looking to move into the area ? Ashley Furniture is taking space in New Rochelle. The old Home Depot Expo in New Rochelle is going to be a massive Supervalu supermarket. The biggest play will probably be the former Fortunoff space at the Source - 1 Maple Ave. White Plains.
On the move these days seems be pharmacies, delis and other "mom & pop" style shops. This is a great time for people with 2 or 3 shops to go to 5 because rents that were previously too high.
If anyone knows where to get commercial paper, let me know.
