Friday Questions

So its Friday July 31 2009. The summer is rapidly coming to an end. There have been minor upticks in the economy as of late and the market is on fire.
The price of oil has remained above $60 a barrel.

Lets talk about commercial rents in the lower Westchester area.
It looks like landlords are interested in making a deal just to fill their spaces.
There seems to be a lot of space available these days.
From Central Park Ave. to Broadway to S. 4th Ave. in Mt Vernon. Prices have come down about 10-15%

Retailers looking to move into the area ? Ashley Furniture is taking space in New Rochelle. The old Home Depot Expo in New Rochelle is going to be a massive Supervalu supermarket. The biggest play will probably be the former Fortunoff space at the Source - 1 Maple Ave. White Plains.

On the move these days seems be pharmacies, delis and other "mom & pop" style shops. This is a great time for people with 2 or 3 shops to go to 5 because rents that were previously too high.

If anyone knows where to get commercial paper, let me know.
